All
filters are designed to function effectively and reliably throughout the important
140–450
°C temperature range. Furthermore, they operate at higher face velocities and do not
require costly reaction towers or other ancillary equipment for effective dry scrubbing. And, of
course, there is no flammable filter bag to catch fire.
Additional benefits include the fact that HCl removal at temperatures above 400°C prevents the
reformation of dioxins. Additionally, because a proportion of sodium bicarbonate converts into a
gaseous form, less remains to go into landfill. This means that spent sodium bicarbonate dust is
preferable to lime where environmentally friendly disposal is important.
Using
high temperature ceramic filters and dry scrubbing with sodium bicarbonate
(
and/or activated carbon) typically gives customers the following emission results.
These figures clearly show how our high temperature ceramic filter systems comply with current
and future limits.
